From a distant galaxy, the Grafton Monster was an extraterrestrial being who could not withstand Earth's environment. Gray-ish-white in color, its blobby nature was not typical—but a response to the organism's incapatibility with Earth's atmosphere and allergens. Swelling up, it progressively solidified, perishing within 24 hours of its arrival. It is not known what this being looks like normally, but an artistic imagining with reduced swelling has been provided. Recovery and study of the corpse has revealed information on feeding, composition, bodily operations, as well as hints to its homeworld.
Seeping from tentacle-feet, the Grafton Alien releases a gooey substance that draws necessary nutrients above ground; siphoning the juicy concoction back up, it feeds all day, requiring many vitamins and minerals to function. Large pores on top of the body connect to a gaseous processor and pump; the organ serves the entire body, acting as an essential hub.
